The head honchos, the hardest workers, the heart of the Flying M—Scott and Debby Moore. Celebrating their 31st anniversary this year, Scott and Debby are a true, shining example of a God-centered, unwavering, BEST-friendship type of marriage. If you’ve ever visited the ranch, you’ve undoubtedly met one of these two, if not both! Scott’s family roots run deep through the land where the Flying M stands today, going back so far as the early 1900s. Scott is the third generation Moore to own and operate the ranch and does so in the same way that his grandparents and his parents, Bob and Bernie, did before him—with integrity, hard-work, and an eagerness to welcome any and all who cross its gates. There aren’t real words to describe Scott’s genuineness. . .but if we had to try, the word would simply and undoubtedly be “selfless.” He cherishes his time with his family and enjoys many hobbies, whether it’s hunting with his boys, building something in his shop, or going to Colorado to ride motorcycles through the mountains (he’s kind of a dare-devil!!) And then. . . Debby. Debby Moore was raised in rural Pryor Creek, OK. Growing up, her free spirit never imagined she’d be a country girl, but one day she fell in love with a rancher and over 30 countless chore-doing, hayfield plowing, bottle feeding and cow-working years later, she wouldn’t have it any other way. Debby is a kind, warm, loving person who knows not one stranger and has a way of making everyone feel at home when they’re at the Flying M. She makes the meanest fried chicken and has the greenest thumb; she is a natural care-taker and loves her family with a fierceness unparalleled. She loves to be spontaneous, she loves to craft and to travel, and she breaks away at least once a day to take a walk through the paths of the ranch and center herself with nature. She, too, is selfless, but I think the word for her would really be “nurturer.” These aren’t things they’d ever write about themselves— they truly walk in humility. But if you visit the ranch & see these faces that call it home, that love to share it with others—you’ll see it all for yourself.

A chocolate chip cookie connoisseur, a natural-born comedian, a friend to all: meet Jake Moore!
Jake was born and raised on the Flying M Ranch, where he now lives and is in beginning stages of building a home of his own on. Jake works in the medical cannabis industry for Rocking Star Farms, growing medical marijuana for Oklahoma patients. Jake helps with any and all events and festivals that take place at the ranch, often saving the day with an “outside the box” idea. He and his brother, Cody, operate and manage the yearly fall festival at the ranch, Fear Fest, as well. When he’s not busy working at Rocking Star or the ranch, you can find him spending quality time with his beloved Aussie, Okie, playing the guitar and writing music, or reading an interesting book. Jake is an essential part of the fabric of the Flying M— stop and say “hi!” if you see him around!

There are people who say they enjoy to laugh . . . and then, there’s these two. Cody is the youngest son of Scott and Debby Moore, brother to Jake. He, too, was raised on the Flying M Ranch and is an essential part of decision making, marketing, and all things business related for the ranch. He double majored in business and marketing at OSU and quite enjoys to put his knowledge to good use here. Cody is an unsuspecting goofball— and it tends to keep everyone on their toes. He’s really passionate about music and can play multiple string instruments. He has also recently grown interested in information technology and is fascinated by the ever-changing technological world we live in. He’s a friendly fella so be sure to tell him hello when you see him around! And then. . . Kristen! She wears a few different hats at the Flying M Ranch: social media, marketing, and a lot of other “behind the scenes” things. She describes herself as unavoidably introverted, but she really does love people and especially those she meets at the ranch. Kristen was raised on a small hobby farm in rural OK, which instilled a deep love for animals in her. These two are celebrating their 9th year together this year and this picture is pretty accurate to who they are—always laughing. When not at the ranch, Kristen enjoy to bake, write, go to festivals and concerts.
